Oh NYC & Bike riders, Ok i love to bike ride, i am sure a lot of people do, but living in NYC and driving with them on the road is not easy. It’s like you are ready to kick someones ass every 10 minutes when you are driving. Although i do respect people using their bicycles instead of wasting gas (like me) and helping the environment, i do not appreciate when they think they can take up the whole road with their narrow scrawny bike.

People outside of the NYC area might not understand how many accidents occur with these bike riders who do not follow traffic rules ….. that’s right they are suppose to go with the flow of traffic, but most of course don’t which causes confusion and accidents. Especially when they are teenagers zig zagging the streets and not stopping at lights or stop signs like they are suppose to. It’s very nerve racking having a bike ride next to you and then out of the great blue sky they decide to cut you off. Do they not realize that they have a vehicle that weighs a ton riding beside them?! Seriously?! Who do you think is going to win you little scrawny bike rider or the car?! But of course guess who would be the one to blame. The driver only because a bike rider i am sure is still considered a “pedestrian” if they get hit. So I feel like NYC needs to get on top of their bike making lanes and oh let’s see ….. MAKE MORE! These lanes are mostly in the city but they really need to make sure they have them on every street if they want safety and also they should ticket the not so bright ones who decide to miss follow the traffic.

Ok my ranting is done!

I COMPLETELY understand you!!! Every time I go to NY I wonder the same thing!!! It’s soooo ridiculous! I’m with you on the ticketing them part also!!! 100%!!! Why do cars get all the tickets? They should as well… that’ll teach’em!!! (maybe not! lol).
