Happy Belated Memorial Day I hope everyone had a good one with friends and family. I had a busy weekend, i am so drained and this heat is not working with me. It has been extremely hot out here i don’t know what happened to Spring, it skipped straight to summer.

My weekend was nice, spent it with some friends and love ones and just relaxed. Friday we went to a friends Birthday/Graduation/Memorial Day party and it was fun, just hung out with the usual crowd, drank, ate, and danced. Heart the way my makeup came out that night. I wasn’t too into the pink bright eyeshadow look but i like how this one turned out. I didn’t want to end up looking like Mimi from Drew Carey if you know what i mean.

Then on Sat.-Sun.-Mon. I spent it relaxing went to the park and enjoying this disgusting heat :) did i mention me and summer heat don’t click. I like tropical heat, but not NYC heat, for some reason it is way more humid and not comfortable.

The girls love going to the park which is mostly where we are at. It was nice spending time with them, i want to do a picnic next ….. although i don’t think that will play out to good with the two girls ;) the little one might run off while we are trying to sit and enjoy a summer/spring eat out lol.

That was it. Tomorrow is my weigh in day, let’s see how i am doing so far, i have been on top of my dieting and it is turning out good, the lovie has been following it with me, pretty much what i cook he eats, so he’s trying to lose with me, so far so good.

Oh NYC & Bike riders, Ok i love to bike ride, i am sure a lot of people do, but living in NYC and driving with them on the road is not easy. It’s like you are ready to kick someones ass every 10 minutes when you are driving. Although i do respect people using their bicycles instead of wasting gas (like me) and helping the environment, i do not appreciate when they think they can take up the whole road with their narrow scrawny bike.

People outside of the NYC area might not understand how many accidents occur with these bike riders who do not follow traffic rules ….. that’s right they are suppose to go with the flow of traffic, but most of course don’t which causes confusion and accidents. Especially when they are teenagers zig zagging the streets and not stopping at lights or stop signs like they are suppose to. It’s very nerve racking having a bike ride next to you and then out of the great blue sky they decide to cut you off. Do they not realize that they have a vehicle that weighs a ton riding beside them?! Seriously?! Who do you think is going to win you little scrawny bike rider or the car?! But of course guess who would be the one to blame. The driver only because a bike rider i am sure is still considered a “pedestrian” if they get hit. So I feel like NYC needs to get on top of their bike making lanes and oh let’s see ….. MAKE MORE! These lanes are mostly in the city but they really need to make sure they have them on every street if they want safety and also they should ticket the not so bright ones who decide to miss follow the traffic.

Ok my ranting is done!

My cousin Drake from Florida is currently in New York with us. He is the cutest thing but definitely not the easiest. We’re staying with him for a while due to his mother having some issues. So in the meantime he’s with us and boy is he giving us a good cherry on top of out cupcake. He’s one years old and is so curious and just learned to walk (in our house), so now he is all over the place, touching everything, pretty much keeping us busy. He is so adorable though and it’s nice having a baby around.

I’ve been hearing a lot about jewelmint.com and their jewelery and i wasn’t too sure about them. I heard they have great quality jewelery that does not tarnish and it is sort of like a shoedazzle, or justfab but with jewelery. You subscribe and take a test, each month they select jewelery based on your taste and style and put in your showroom, then you have the option to buy. It’s $30.00 doesn’t matter what jewelery you buy it’s a flat rate. What i like about them is that their jewelery is really original, all the pieces they have in their showrooms are pieces you really don’t find in your average forever21 store, afaze, etc.

I was a little skeptical about ordering a piece because i wasn’t too sure about the quality and so when i got an e-mail with a coupon for 75% off i had to try it. So i decided to buy the Trinity Rings because i liked that i can wear them separately or together. In my opinion they look better together. But the quality is great and i LOVE the packaging, i swear they won me away with their perfect packaging! Reminds me of Tiffany & Co. So so far good and i will be buying from them again. Do i recommend them? Yes!

Everyone who knows me knows that i love to tug around a whole bunch of crap. I always have this tendency to feel like i may need it for later on. So i make sure to carry certain items daily with me. Sometimes they stay in there and are never touched, which i think is crazy! It looks like i hardly carry anything (cause i am trying to minimize what i take), it still is annoying when i skim through my bag, i try to be as organized as possible but sometimes my keys get in the way with my charging cord (when i carry it), or my makeup bag flips oddly where i have to flip it, or my camera case (big black cube) takes up all the space in my purse and makes it hard to look for things.

I feel like i carry too much in my makeup bag also, i am looking for a more simplistic way to carry all of my cosmetics and not have to lug around a ton of stuff, just have a few basics i really need and that is small packaging Cause i feel like the “compacts” are not compact. The brushes alone are long and bulky so i stick with my small kabuki brush. Let’s see if i find a solution ….. hummmmm maybe a bigger bag with more compartments?!
